Week Ahead: Oct. 31

Doing a lot of great learning here at the EARCOS Leadership Conference.  Got to hear from experts in many different areas … there are many great moments so far, but some of my favorite have come from Sir John Jones – yep, actually knighted by the queen for his work in education.  I might have to try for the selfie with the knight!   His passion about and articulation of the impact of teachers on the lives of our students is inspirational.  I’m looking forward to sharing some of his ideas.

Planning Ahead:  After we return from break, we have 5 weeks until WWW.  After WWW, we have 9 school days before Winter Break.  Think about those 9 days and what would make the best use of the time for you and your students. We will be putting out an assessment calendar for those 9 days to ensure students aren’t overloaded on any one day (and have the best opportunity to demonstrate their best levels of achievement).
