3. Construction Update: Flansburgh visit this week

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I hope your week has started off well. I’m delighted to report that we made great progress on the construction project this week. David Croteau and Madeleine Le from Flansburgh continued the work of designing an outstanding interior learning environment in our new buildings. I am equally impressed with the expertise of the local architects, sound engineers, and product vendors and their ability to customize the environment to suit our program needs. I now know more about creating the optimal acoustic environment, and other important details, than I ever expected to know. Every detail is important and WaiMun and her team are ensuring clarity and coordination throughout the whole process.

Over the course of the next few months, we will be working with teachers and staff in every area to customize the spaces, so please stay tuned for more details and schedules.

This evening, I will fly to Bangkok with administrators across the school to represent SSIS at the EARCOS Conference. I will be back on Monday, October 31st just in time for Halloween (and showing the Senior Leadership Team’s costume.)
