101. Update: Zones within HCMC
|Dear Faculty and Staff,
We would like to inform you of the recent decisions made by the local authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and the impact of this for different zones within HCMC, starting at midnight tonight (Monday, August 23, 00:00) until Monday, September 6.

Deliveries Suspended in Seven Districts
Deliveries through shippers will be suspended in Thu Duc City, District 8, District 12, Go Vap, Binh Tan, Binh Thanh, Binh Chanh, and Hoc Mon.
Shippers are allowed to operate within all other districts, but will not be allowed to travel between districts. For more information, please view the recent announcement here: English – Vietnamese
Zoning Measures
The measures that will be put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will differ depending on what color your zone is.

From the official website, these are the zones of District 7 wards:
- Orange zone wards: Tan Phu, Tan Phong, Binh Thuan. People in yellow, orange, or red zones must contact their local authority to clarify how they can purchase food. Please contact your building management if you are experiencing difficulties. - Green zone wards: Phu My, Tan Thuan Tay, Tan Quy. People in the green zone can go out to buy food supplies as per local regulations.

- Khó khăn: You are in financial need
Explanation of terms on the chart (horizontal)
- Tự đi chợ (1 lần/tuần): You can go grocery shopping once a week
- Đi chợ giúp (tự trả tiền): Shipper or special task force will deliver food to you, and you must pay.
- Nhận hỗ trợ: You will receive support or donation from the government.

Can I go to the hospital?
Yes, but you must make an appointment in advance. If you feel ill, please do not hesitate to go to the hospital or a clinic. International SOS (HoChiMinh@internationalsos.
Can I go to the dentist?
If your dental needs are an emergency, please contact International SOS to help you organize an appointment at the hospital’s dental clinic.
Can I bring my dog to the VET?
Dr. Note Vet Clinic is open. If you need to bring pets to visit his clinic in D7, please make an appointment in advance via Dr. Note’s Facebook page.
