IBDP Mock Exams: 5th March to 9th March

Here is the March 2018 Mock Exam Schedule and list of students: Mock Exams 2018 and Seating Charts. Be sure that your copies of Mock Exams are printed and ready by Friday – February 23rd.

IB Students will be off-schedule this week unless a student has an AP class not conflicting with an IB Exam. All Mock Exams are to be FORMATIVE assessments that students will need to grade to deconstruct what they can do well and what they will need to work on between Spring Break and IB Exams – Beginning April 30th.

Subject component upload requirements

You will need to be logged into IBIS to be able to access these links. IA Grades – each teacher can upload the student IA scores. Predicted Grades – I will have a paper document for all teachers to fill out and I will upload the PGs.

I am asking teachers to complete the eCoursework IA uploads as was done last year. Verify that all Internal Assessment work is the authentic work of the student. I will have all students sign and IB form authenticating that their work is their own work – but teachers will need to go through TurnItIn and validate with your student. See below….

IBDP Upload Due Dates on IBIS

• Submission deadline for the upload of EEs, TOK essays, Group 1 and 2 written assignments/tasks – March 15th (SSIS Due Date is March 2nd)
• Deadline for entry of internal assessment marks, criteria marks and predicted grades – April 20th (SSIS Due Date is April 6th)
• Submission deadline for the upload of internal assessment sample work – April 20th (SSIS Due Date is April 6th)
• Visual arts exhibition submission deadline – April 30th (Exhibition Opening at SSIS April 18th)
• Submission deadline for the upload of group 6 externally assessed coursework components – April 30th (SSIS Due Date April 18th)
• Visual arts process portfolio and comparative study submission – April 30th (SSIS Due Date April 26th)

World Student Conference 2018: Washington D.C., Rotterdam & Hong Kong

The IB World Student Conferences bring together IB Diploma Programme (DP) and IB Career-Related Programme (CP) students from around the world to explore and experience what it means to be globally engaged, and to inspire responsible action for making a better and more peaceful world.

Scholarships are available to students to support the cost of attendance. Interested teachers can also attend as Global Action Team Leaders, Chaperones or Observers. Details can be found in the link above.

Grade 10 students were informed of WSC this week. I will be making a presentation to the G11 students in March to promote these IB student conferences. Students who attend will benefit greatly as will SSIS developing a tradition of sending young leaders to IB world events.
