Support for 2020-21
|To follow up on my presentation on Wednesday, here is a summary of the means of interaction and the levels of support you can have with me this year. I will set a short 10-minute meeting with you soon to discuss your starting point for this year. Remember that our interactions can revolve around tech integration, assessment, project-based learning, or any combination of these.
Means of Interaction
Consulting – Increase your knowledge or upskill your tech integration skills, assessment practices and other needs to support teaching and learning. Â
Collaboration –Â Co-teaching or co-planning of units or learning activities in new contexts or with new tech tools to form ideas, approaches or solutions for teaching and learning.
Cognitive Coaching –Â Enhance and habituate self-directed learning in any context to transform effectiveness in teaching and learning.
Levels of Support
Jogger – General Check-ins (Walk-in during prep period); address questions and needs on a just-in-time basis; potential for deeper support; mostly consulting.
Runner – Scheduled, short-term planning or assistance with units or activities (behind-the-scenes and/or in-class); potential for deeper support; collaboration and/or deeper consulting.
Marathoner – Scheduled, long-term collaborative co-planning or co-teaching in areas like PBL and/or assessment; Cognitive Coaching on any topic. Potential to blend collaboration and Cognitive Coaching.
