End of The Year IB Predictive Grades, IB Dates & G2 Forms

With great thanks to Yuki, the IB Exams have completed without major issues, and the Class of 2018 is predicted to finish stronger than the Class of 2017. So much hard work by the IB teachers and the IB Team to shepherd these students through. So much to celebrate.
All IB Year 2 Teachers Asked to Complete the G2 Teachers Comments Survey
10th June, the surveys will close. You still have time to comment on the May 2018 IB Examinations. Please take some time to give feedback to the IBO about the structure, flow and content of your particular subject/level examination. Important IB Dates Over the Summer
05 July: IB results are released to universities electronically and via mail service at 12:00 noon GMT.
06 July: IB results are released to students at 12:00 noon GMT on a 15 minute cycle depending upon the time zone of the examination location.
09 July: IB school statistics are released by IBO
12 July: IA comments released to teachers (not all IB courses are guaranteed to receive comments)
15 July: As new IBDP Coordinator, Cassandra Armstrong, will have responsibilities transferred over to her
Year 1 IB Predicted Grades Due 06th June
Continuing on, all Year 1 IB teachers will need to provide their Year 1 IB students with a Predictive ScoreΒ (1-7) in PowerSchool by the end of the grading period – by June 6th.
IB Group 4 Project for Year 1 Students
All IB Year 1 students who are taking a Group 4 science class are required to complete the Group 4 Project. This year, SSIS students will be completing this in IB Year 1 on 24 May and 25 May. Students are meeting on 18 May to prepare for next week’s experiments.
Mock Exams 2019 & May Exams 2019
Mock Exams for March 2019 will be March 4-8. Mock Exams will continue to be formative where the students take the onus of grading them and making a plan of action for their own specific learning path for the last 3 weeks of school after Spring Break and just before IB Exams begin. The final specific schedule for Mock Exams should be complete by the end of September. Here is the May 2019 IB Exam schedule.
Finalizing the IA Calendar for the Class of 2019 and the Class of 2020
Department Heads will be in contact with teachers to verify IA due dates in order to better organize dates in a systematic way that will be loaded into a PowerLearning calendar Class of 2019 and Class of 2020) . SSIS needs to be more strategic and understanding in posting IB due dates with school events and university guidance in mind. We will address this in the May 23rd staff meeting.
