Grade 12 Quarter 4 Gradebook Overview
|Please watch the screencast below to understand how to enter Q4 grades for Grade 12 students. This applies to G12 students in homogeneous grade 12 courses, G12 students doing a non-IB/AP final exam, and G12 students in mixed grade level courses.
Here is a brief summary:
- For Grade 12s, any Quarter 4 grade must go into the Quarter 3 bin
- Use this naming protocol: “Q4 Assignment-name Actual-due-date”
- e.g. Q4 Save the World Project April 21
- Set the due date as March 23 (the day before the end of Q3)
- Use this naming protocol: “Q4 Assignment-name Actual-due-date”
- All other Grade 9-11 course grades are put into the Quarter 4 bin as usual. Name assignments as you wish.
- For any Grade 12s doing a final exam in your non-IB/AP course, the final exam grade ALSO goes into the Quarter 3 bin.
- Use the same naming protocol: “Q4 Assignment-name Actual-due-date”
- e.g. Q4Â Final Exam May 15
- Set the due date as March 23 (the day before the end of Q3)
- Use the same naming protocol: “Q4 Assignment-name Actual-due-date”
- For mixed grade level classes where Grade 12 students are together with Grades 9-11 students, you will need to put Q4 grades in twice.
- Grade 12 students’ grades go into the Quarter 3 bin as described above. Use the same naming protocol. On that Q3 assignment, EXEMPT all G9-11 students from that Q3 assignment so that it does not affect their Q3 grade.
- Grade 9-11 students grades go into the Quarter 4 bin. Name assignment as you wish. EXEMPT all G12 students from that Q4 assignment so that it does not calculate a Q4 grade for them.
- Any questions, ask Jacob, Tim, or Thomas Galvez.
