IB Update – 19-23 November
|Google IB Calendar
I just found out that there is an IB Deadline Google Calendar on the SSIS link! I have added the May 2020 Year 1 dates to this calendar and encourage you to add it to your calendar so that you can keep track of the dates. Please be aware that the dates have been shared with parents and students and should be adhered to.
IB Deadlines
If a student misses a deadline for an IA first or final submission or any other major IB assessment, please let Cassie know. It is also suggested that you do the following:
- Email the student with the parent and Cassie in cc to remind the student of the deadline and establish a follow-up non-negotiable deadline for submission (suggested for one week after the missed deadline). A sample email is available in the IBDP Teacher Resource TeamDrive.
- Email Dan Le so that he can keep the students in study hall to complete the task
If a student misses a follow-up deadline, please let Cassie know so that she can schedule a meeting with you, the student, and their parents.

Storage of Final Submission Documents
Once your students have submitted their final versions of IAs or you have recorded their IOC/orals, please place a copy of the assessment and any required form or extracts in the appropriate folder within the IB Work for Upload Drive. Please save the documents with the following naming protocol: StudentsLastName_FirstName_Assessment_Level (Sample: Armstrong_Cassie_HistoryIA_SL, Stoltz_Chris_MathIA_SL).
Useful Documents/Links:
All documents are in the IBDP Teacher Resources shared drive.
- Candidate personal codes (for use on forms for IA submissions)
- Work should remain anonymous, so please follow these guidelines:
- Schools may use the candidate’s personal code (abc123) as a means of identifying candidates’ work on coursework and forms submitted to the IB. However, this information is not a requirement.
- Candidates are asked to avoid using their name, session number or the name or number of their school in their work, whether on the title page, headers, footers or anywhere else on the document.Â
- Candidate names or session numbers can be used in the document filenames only.
- Work should remain anonymous, so please follow these guidelines:
- May 2019 Forms
- Please ensure you are using the most up-to-date form for your subject. Outdated forms will be rejected by the eCoursework system and will have to be redone.
- You’ll need to be logged into your MyIB account to access these forms.
