IB Updates for 2016-2017
|With so many new teachers to the high school, there is a great deal of energy and optimism to motivate through all the work that will need to be done. Jay Prodger, Lara Keller and I will be reorientating Y2 students to be better prepared for upcoming IB due dates and exams. New and retuning teachers are creating a very positive atmosphere of support for our IB students as well.
In order to assist our IB students to remain focused on their final steps in their IB path, I will be collecting IB due dates based on each course so that I may provide this list for students, parents, teachers, and administration. I will also create prominent posters so that all stakeholders may remain well aware of IB due dates and the necessary cultural expectations needed to adhere to these due dates.
Although the beginning of the year is always challenging, note the choices, times and locations of upcoming JobAlikes. If you have not attended a JobAlike before, you will have the opportunity to connect with fellow course teachers in the Vietnam-Laos-Malaysia-Cambodia (VLMC) Region. SSIS will be hosting the Group 5 JobAlike on Friday September 30th, 2016. Led by Bill Fossgreen, I look forward to having SSIS demonstrate our dynamic Maths Department. To sign up for a JobAlike, check the link below and let me know so that I can officially sign you up:
