Year 1 IB Predicted Grades
As has been discussed since the beginning of the school year, providing a justifiable benchmark for IB Year 1 students at the end of their junior year is important for all stakeholders. All Year 1 IB teachers will need to provide their Year 1 IB students with a Predictive Score (1-7) in PowerSchool by the end of the grading period.
The better understand the why of this change toward better alignment with IB philosophy and expectations, see this presentation.
IB Yokohama Updates…..as Promised
The listing is dense with information and changes are already coming for Group 2 and Music with Group 1 and Group 5 following in 2019. Here is the official update from IBO:

We’re almost there……..
Saigon Teacher Job Shadowing
Coming from the latest IBDP Coordinator’s meeting, the issue of some teachers wanting to job shadow teachers from other schools came up. IBDP Coordinators are setting up an exchange where IB teachers can visit other like-professionals to see them teach, talk about resources, strategies, etc and SSIS can then host teachers from other schools. The idea is to increase networks in between the more formal Jobalikes.
If you are interested, let me know and I will add you to the list that we are making to see when exchanges (either half-day or whole-day) can be arranged.
