Student Services Update: February 29th- March 4th

Advisory: MOVED to Tuesday March 1st

Grade 9:  Sexmazium in the gymnasium. Students should meet in the HS Gym. Please direct students to sit in advisory groups There will be a designated spot in the gym for your group to gather. You will work as advisory groups to make your way through the Sexual Health Maze. Please review the activity prior to advisory on Monday. Note that Alison will serve as the “lead” on this activity and will facilitate directions, but you will be doing the activity in 6 separate advisory groups within the gym.

Grade 10 and 11: Students should go directly to the auditorium for the Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) Tour

8 min (11:05-11:13)     What are Colleges that Change Lives Introduction
8 min (11:15-11:23)     Each student will choose one school to join for an 8 minute presentation.
8 min (11:25-11:33)    Each student choose a second school to join for an 8 minute presentation.

Following the introduction, students will need to choose 2 schools to intently focus on for a more in depth presentation. If students want to keep connected to other institutions/reps it is my suggestion that they print personal  information (name, email address, interested major) on a 1/4 sheet paper ahead of time to give to each representative.

Grade 12: Students should meet in the following advisory groupings: Ms. Mooney, Mr. Ratliff and Mr. Schmidt in Cs22 HS student lounge. Ms. Adams and Ms. Burge in Ms. Adam’s room. Students will discuss their findings about campus sexual safety during the Senior transition seminar 2. Please review the activity prior to advisory. Please also share the What is consent? handout that Tina and Alison put together as part of the health curriculum preview day.

GROUP MEETING: Thursday March 3rd

Grade 9 and 10:  Students should meet in the HS gym for Link Crew info with Alison and Jodi.

Grade 11: Students should go directly to the Auditorium for electronic course registration. Students will need their laptops. Direct students to sit in advisory groups for course registration. Please plan to attend and assist with course registration.
