The G2 form can be found on the Online Curriculum Centre (OCC) with a link on the right hand side. Please let me know if you need a reminder for your login details.

The deadline for this feedback is June 10th.

First IBDP workshops in Vietnam

We are very happy to announce the first upcoming IBDP Vietnam workshops we were able to secure this year through the DP coordinator’s network.

Please fill out the PD form emailed to you on Thursday if you are interested and send to Tina for confirmation.
Please also note that there will be continuing professional development offered in the way of Job-alikes. These are in their third year running.
Feedback from the Job-alikes has been positive: these sessions are free, recognised by the IB as continuing practice, in Ho Chi Minh City (or nearby) and give teachers the opportunity to meet with subject specific colleagues to share ideas and best practice on teaching and assessment.
This is great PD and practice for those who want to branch into IB Workshop leading. Thanks to those of you who have already expressed interest and will be leading facilitation for your Group of subjects.
Please find below the call from the network for facilitators and participants, slots are being filled however, there is still a request for: Group 5, Group 6, EE, CAS, and TOK facilitators

VLMC IB NETWORK: Before you volunteer, please read over this summary of the responsibilities associated with the main jobalike roles:

1) Facilitator. The person who will be leading/facilitating the subject group. This person would ideally have a few years of experience teaching IB in their subject area. However, a beginning IB teacher could facilitate a session as long as the participating teachers understand that it is a sharing exercise, not instructional

a) Set a draft agenda for the jobalike using the recommended agenda below as a guideline
b) Create a mailing list for participants, and contact participants 1 week before the jobalike (that is the official registration deadline)
c) Populate the agenda with the input of the participants
d) Inform participants of any materials/resources they should bring at least 3 days before the jobalike date
e) Facilitate the session in collaboration with the Host IB Coordinator
f) after the session ends, organize some sort of group for members to stay in touch and continue sharing ideas, call each for advice, etc.

3) Participant. The participants are generally the subject teacher, or potentially the future subject teacher for a particular subject. No prior experience is necessary – beginning and experienced IB teachers are encouraged to attend to meet like-minded colleagues and share ideas

a) register for the jobalike through your DP Coordinator
b) check emails from the facilitator and the Host IB Coordinator, feed the agenda and prepare materials as required by the facilitator
c) bring all required materials to the jobalike and participate actively. Have fun and meet some new educators!
d) complete the feedback questionnaire, possibly electronic
e) report back to your administrators about how valuable it was and ask to be sent to further jobalikes in the future!

Sign ups for job-alikes will be sent around in the new academic year.
