Staff Action Needed:

  • Drop off laptop at the ICT office on Friday, March 31 if you have a delamination issue.  If you turn in your laptop it will be ready for you when you return from spring break.
  • Please complete the following Sunshine Committee form so we can plan appropriate buses for the events on April 15 and June 3.
  • Make sure to review Thomas Galvez’s Matrix carefully these week about grading 12th grade students at the end of the year.

Quarter 3 Kudos– Thank you all for doing an amazing job reporting assessment data to our students and parents in the 3rd quarter.  The average number of assignments in each grade book across the division was 9.6 assessments for each class.  This is an amazing and truly impressive statistic.  Your diligence and hard work is greatly appreciated by our students and parents as they gauge their learning.

Sunshine on Leith– Grade 9 -12 theatre students have been working after school and at weekends to bring you the best juke-box musical to come out of Scotland in the last ten years – ‘Sunshine on Leith’. The soundtrack is entirely made of The Proclaimers music (remember 500 miles?) and its a great storyline, complex, fun and full of heart., where is home? What does that mean to you? A question which is relevant to all of us as international teachers and students. Join us in the Black Box Theatre next Thursday, Friday or Saturday At 7PM for a performance guaranteed to lift your soul. Tickets from Ms Vy from the end of the week, 70,000 VND per seat. Suitable for all age ranges.

HS Principal Survey Update–  42 of you took the time to complete my principal survey.  I just got my results and will now take some time to analyze your feedback.  I will report back to you in the next few weeks the big takeaways of celebrations and growth areas after I meet with Mark about my results.  I greatly appreciate the time you all took to complete this during a very busy time of the year.

End of Year Important Dates– We have put together an end of the year important dates calendar for you reference.  While it does not have everything, it is a quick reference for you for planning purposes.

Sunshine and Service TripsPlease complete this transportation form, so we can make arrangements to get everyone to the upcoming Service and Sunshine events.  See Bill and William if you have questions about the Ben Tre June 3rd project.  See Bilal, William or Evan for questions about the orphanage trip and brewery tour on April 15.

Grade 12 Issues with PowerSchool– Please pay careful attention to Thomas Galvez’s post in the Matrix section of the Dragon’s Lair about significant changes for grade 12 students this week.  Thomas, Tim and Jacob are also available to answer additional questions and/or provide technical support.
