Grade 12 Student’s Last Day of Classes:
Full IBDP Year 2 students are finished once their last Dp exam is over.  The last exam is scheduled for April 29th.
AP classes are over once the College Board’s AP exam is written.
The last day for other grade 12 students is May 15th.

  • IBDP Y2 and AP class end times are coming to an end soon.
    • IBDP Y2 classes officially end once exams finish for each class or April 29 at the latest.
    • Review for AP courses during class time takes place until the day of the official exam in May.  Between the date of your official exam and the end of the school year AP teachers will be available for any of their students via Google Meets to answer questions if they have students taking the June testing session.
  • IB End of Course Exam Schedule April 22-29
  • HS Admin Office Hours on Tuesdays (2-2:30) and Thursdays (2-2:30).
  • We have a number of leadership opportunities available next year.  Apply by May 4th.
  • Check in with each of your advisory students one-on-one between now and April 29.  This window of time is a bit shorter due to the holiday weekend.
  • We had a meeting with grade 12 parents.  This is the recording and here are the talking points if you would like to review.  The main topics were graduation, Senior Transition Program, university, emotional support of seniors and Q and A from the parents.  I sent the recording out to all grade 12 parents last night as a follow-up.

  • Check in with each of your advisory students one-on-one between now and April 29.  This window of time is a bit shorter due to the holiday weekend.   Please log your meeting date and relevant info here.  These meetings make a difference in the lives of our students and have been positively recognized by our parents in survey and PTA forums.

Interested in leadership opportunities next year?  Start thinking about department head, dean and AP coordinator positions.  I will be sharing applications for these positions starting next week.Don’t forget to convert your missing summative tasks to zeros AND also flag them as missing by 3pm Thursday afternoon.  Also, continue to utilize the collected only designation for those formative tasks that do not impact the percentage grade of your students.
A reminder that our AP students will be taking exams at 1:00 and 3:00am during the following times listed below in May.  Your head of department will be chatting with you this week in regards to other assignments and assessments during this time frame.  More than 50% of our students take AP classes and will be impacted by this decision by the College Board.  Our normal policy during AP exams is that students do not have to attend classes for school-based courses the morning before an afternoon exam or the afternoon before a morning testing session.  We will have to make some adjustments to this policy.  Please share your insights with your HoD this week.  The HSLT will make a recommendation to the admin team at our meeting on April 14.
