Weekly Update: August 15-19

As I mentioned at our orientation day assembly, education affords us many unique opportunities.  Being able to hit the reset button each year is a gift that cannot be taken for granted.  While this is important for our students, it is even more critical for us as their teachers and mentors to model this mindset.  Our division is strong in many aspects, but we have a unique chance to do something truly special here if we collectively are willing to hit the reset button to try new approaches to learning and look at issues from varied perspectives.  This is the strongest group of educators that I have worked with in my 20 plus year career and I am so excited to see where we can take our school, students and ourselves in the coming years.

Have a great weekend,

Jacob

August 17th HS Faculty Meeting– As assessment and reporting are one of our priorities, we will look at the results and student reflection of AP and IB data from last year during our next faculty meeting.
