|From this graph you can see that we have 8 more students in Grade 12 than we had originally planned for, 17 more students in Grade 11, and two more students in grade 9. We had planned for 86 students in Grade 10 but we only have 78 so we are down by 8 students.

Sunshine Committee Duesβ The Sunshine committee organizes a number of great events and celebrates and supports those staff members in need over the course of the year. In addition to monthly birthday celebrations and organization of departmental breakfasts, Sunshine shows random acts of kindness, flowers and other items to celebrate milestone events in our lives. Sunshine will organize a whole staff event each quarter. Sunshine Committee members this year are: Amy and Evan. Looking for more members too. We will be asking for a 500,000 VND contribution to be paid to Evan or Huyen.
Take-Away Food
Students are βnot allowedβ to order any βtake-away foodβ to be delivered to SSIS during the school day (7:30am – 3:30pm).
HS Student Dress Code
To promote a respectful and neat environment focused on study, all SSIS students are required to wear the official SSIS uniform. All uniform items must be purchased at the school store unless noted. The school uniform consists of the following:
Approved Tops:Light and dark blue polo shirt with SSIS logo
β Long sleeved white button down shirt with SSIS logo (white shirt needs to be buttoned up)Approved Sweater/Hoodies/Jackets
- Only SSIS sweaters and sweatshirts can be worn in the HS
- Senior students are allowed to wear a university/college sweater.
- SSIS shirts must be worn under an approved sweater/hoodie/jacket.

Approved Bottoms:
- SSIS dark blue, black shorts and skorts, and long pants
- All shorts and skorts must extend past student fingertips when standing with shoulders relaxed at their sides.
- Long pants: students are permitted to purchase and wear their own as long as the fabric andcolor conforms to the SSIS uniform pieces.Approved Shoes:
- Students must wear closed-toed shoes when at SSIS
- No flip-flops, slides, Crocs, Birkenstocks and similar varieties are to be worn.In Addition:
- Items such as jewellery need to be safe for the various activities engaged in throughout the school day.
- Hats and headscarves must be removed inside the school building unless worn for religious reasons and approved by the HS administrative team.
- Students are not permitted to wear their PE clothes/uniform on floors 2, 3, and 4 in the HSbuilding or any other SSIS buildings.Non Uniform Days:
- No sleeveless tops or dresses
- No shirts that expose the belly or chest
- All shorts, skirts, dresses, skorts must extend past student fingertips when standing with shoulders relaxed at their sides.
- No jeans with tears or holes
Dress Code Violation
First incident:
Teacher will speak with the sβtudent and βwill complete a PowerSchool Referral Entry if a student is not wearing proper uniform.
Second and third incident:
- After-school 1 hour detention (1 day)
- Administrator contacts parents
Fourth incident: In-βschool suspension (1 day) / Parent Meeting
