Weekly Update: June 8 – July 30 (Summer Break Edition)
|What an amazing graduation ceremony we had this year! The class of 2019 is now gone and we have a new crop of seniors and incoming freshman joining our ranks. We all have an opportunity to relax and reconnect with family and friends in the coming weeks. Enjoy and take full advantage of this time to recharge. As with graduation of students, we have some faculty leaving at the end of the year as well. We wish Anne, Marty, Helen and Daniel the best in their next journeys. You will all be sorely missed.
Enjoy your summer break!

Start of Year Documents– Here are many of the important documents that you may want to access over the summer.
Important Planning Information 2019-20
Key 2019-20 Reminders:
- 2019-20 School Calendar
- HS Day Calendar for the entire year for planning purposes
- HS Events that might impact instructional hours
- IBDP Deadline Calendar Class of 2020
- IBDP Deadline Calendar Class of 2021
Other Important Considerations:
- We will not drop SL classes from August 7 until August 30, so you will see all of your students SL/HL during the first month of school for Y1 and Y2 classes.
- We will not have HL/AP hours from August 7 until August 30.
- SL drop and HL/AP hours will begin on Tuesday, September 3rd after the Vietnamese National Holiday.
- An inquiry project or Project Based Learning unit needs to be embedded within one of your units in a course of your choosing next year. This could be a 1-2 day lesson to a fully developed Inquiry/PBL project that runs the course of the entire unit of study.  Here is more information that was covered during our May 29 meeting. Please see Thomas Galvez if you have any questions.
