Weekly Update: May 8 – 15th

Friday is going to be a very busy day for the HS as we will have all grade levels back on campus. We will need all hands on deck to help monitor the hallways and lunch times. Remember that we have a special bell schedule for Friday and we will be having two lunch times. Be sure to calendar the times when you are on duty. Please talk to students who may not be following social distance or wearing a face mask rules. Please let Tim or Jacob know of any students who do not listen to you so one of them can follow-up with the student’s parents.

Almost Final DRAFT HS Master Schedule 2020 – 21 This schedule has been built on an HS enrollment number of 360 students. It may need to be modified if actual enrollment number is significantly different. Please contact Tim if you have questions or concerns.

Grade 12 Student’s Last Day of Classes:
Full IBDP Year 2 students are finished once their last Dp exam is over.  The last exam is scheduled for April 29th.
AP classes are over once the College Board’s AP exam is written.
The last day for other grade 12 students is May 15th

  • A reminder that our AP students will be taking exams at 1:00 and 3:00am during the following times listed below in May.

AP STUDENTS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The first session of AP testing takes place simultaneously worldwide, between May 13 and May 27.  Here is the schedule.  For students in Vietnam, this means 01:00 am, and 03:00 am Vietnam time.

Thus, AP students will not be required to attend their classes on the day of their assigned exams. Nor will AP students need to attend their last block on the day before the exam.

(Example: An AP student has a Calculus AB, or BC exam on May 13 at 01:00 am. He/She will not be required to attend his/her last block on May 12, nor any classes on May 13. Students will either be exempted from or given ample extension time for work missed during missed class times.)

We know that the hours of the AP exams are not ideal for students in this part of the world; however, remember that this is an excellent opportunity for you to earn university credit and enhance your university applications. Think about how much you have overcome thus far. You can do this!
