October Birthday Celebration– Come to our monthly birthday event sponsored by the Sunshine Committee on Friday during 1st break.  Also, the birthday gifts have finally arrived.

Spirit Week–  The Spirit Club has organized a number of events for this coming week.  In addition to the MRISA Pep Assembly on Wednesday, they had organized a week of spirit dress up days.  Show your support of this group by dressing up as well if you’d like.  Monday (Twin day), Tuesday (Meme day), Wednesday (Blue Out), Thursday (Dress Like a Teacher) and Friday (Comfy day).

Tuesday’s Early Release Time– We will meet briefly as a division at 1:15 pm in the MPR.  After an introduction to your work, you will break off by departments to unpack more of the IBDP Papers and examiner comments.  We will come back together briefly at the end of the day to share your biggest takeaways with your peers.

What’s in Your Grade Book?– We are now finishing our 11th week of school.  At this point in the semester there should 5-7 data points for students and parents to gauge their progress.  Also, remember to email parents if there is a significant drop in a students performance.

House League Update– Dear HS Staff,  I apologise for the lack of updates on teacher house league standings the past month. The scene has changed dramatically though, with Jodi taking the lead for the first time and Nomer slipping to second. A few new people have entered the scene too but haven’t quite made it onto the top ten yet!

Also in additional fun stats, English is winning as a department, closely followed by the Arts. Science has the greatest buy in with 80% of the department giving some points 🙂
