Log Entry:
1-3 sentence summary of the issueJacob was caught using a cheat sheet during a vocabulary quiz in geography on August 14. Â I discussed the issue with the student and emailed the parents.
You only have 10 minutes with each class, so highlight:
- Teacher background/experience
- Curriculum to be covered over the course of the year
- Course syllabus and expectations (HW, assessments and how parents can support their kids)
- For those grade 9 parents that are worried about the transition to HS reinforcing our transition programs like Link Crew and the positive work the MS did in preparing them for the HS is important.
- For those of you that are taking over a Y2 IB classes from someone that has left it is important to emphasize a successful transition. Some parents will be worried about this.
- Make sure to keep to the 10 minute time frame, as keeping the parents late will impact your colleagues ability to deliver their presentations.
If you have any questions about your 10 minutes of fame, please talk to your department head, Jacob or Tim.
