A Holiday Greeting on a personal note

Dear Faculty and Staff,

The holiday season and well-deserved winter break are shortly upon us. 

As you prepare to spend time with friends and family, near or afar, I encourage you to truly make time for each other and to be fully present in the moments you have together. They should never be taken for granted.

This was brought to the forefront of my mind, as I rushed to Taipei on Wednesday to be at Gerry’s side for an emergency appendectomy. Thankfully, he is recovering well, however, this, unfortunately, means that I will not be able to join you for the holiday festivities on Saturday.

As always, WaiMun is at the helm in my absence and will be at the Sheraton to welcome you all and to ensure that you have a wonderful time together.

I look forward to seeing you all next week when I return to Saigon.
