Head of School Parent Letter/Update from Catriona
|Dear Faculty and Staff,
This Head of School Message was sent to parents today. So many positive things to report! This morning, we welcomed nearly 250 athletes from around Southeast Asia to the first-ever double MRISA (Mekong River International Schools Association) tournament. Teams from four countries gathered on our campus for the event that will run through Saturday. Thank you for supporting this important event. Please continue to enjoy the vibrant energy across campus as we cheer on our Sr. Volleyball and Jr. Basketball teams! You can see the full MRISA schedule here. Special thanks to Dan Long, Elizabeth Davenport, Sang Lam, and Thanh Bui for making the event such an incredible success.
Feedback on Jan Chappuis’s PD indicates that it was a very meaningful and worthwhile PD. Jan enjoyed working with us, and we look forward to our continued collaboration with her. Thank you for your extraordinary engagement in this important work. Thank you to David Chadwell for organizing it. He will seek your feedback to ensure that we continue to focus our efforts, keep everyone on the same page, and support you as we move forward with Standards-based Teaching and Learning.
On Monday, I will be shadowing a student in the High School. I will follow a grade 11 Student through their day with the purpose of understanding our HS student experience. Thank you to all of the teachers who are accommodating my visit. I’m looking forward to it.
Finally, Steve Driscoll, a gentleman who has been involved in the development of PMH since the 1990ies, visited the school this week. He described it as a “thriving, vibrant, optimistic school.” I think that perfectly sums up what we are experiencing on campus right now.
Thank you all. Have a great rest of your week!
All good wishes.
Catriona
