Katie and Daragh on their way back to Jiaxing

Dear Faculty –

Gayle Tsien, our Board Chair, and I would like to thank the teaching community, especially the 1st Grade team and elementary school specialists, for welcoming Katie Filion and Daragh Meredith to SSIS for the last week and a half. Katie and Daragh are part of an ambitious effort to opening a new school in Jiaxing, China, outside of Shanghai. Many of us have worked in schools of varying degrees of maturity, but being part of a school’s first year is in a category all by itself.

Sharing with Katie and Daragh your wisdom and experience was a wonderful gift and both expressed their appreciation to everyone at SSIS before they left on Sunday morning.
