Grade Book Use During Conferences– Thank you for your work with our parents tonight.  Many of you are using your grade books to highlight performance.  This is great, but make sure not to use the regular grade book view as you should not allow parents to see the grades of other students.  All student grades are confidential records.

Below are directions of how to show grades of only the student you are speaking about.
If you are showing student grades during conference be sure to use the web version to ensure you don’t accidentally show other student grades from your PowerTeacher Gradebook.

International Day– This year’s International Activities take place on a single day for the high school this year.  The high school will participate in the Parade of Flags from 8:15-8:45.  HS teachers (F block) will take roll then lead their students to the back ES playground at 8:05, so you can arrive by 8:10.  Students should leave their bags in the classroom.  We will organize by country there and will march together to the quad field by the HS for a whole school photo then return to class.  After the photo, students return to F block class for instruction.

Starting at 2:30 in the afternoon we will be having an international day food festival.  This event will take place on the ES field (weather permitting).  At 2:25 walk with your students and their bags to the ES field.  Students are not allowed to leave school until 3pm.  Let them know that there is FREE food.

We encourage teachers to stay and enjoy the festivities after school.  There are NO ASA’s for any division on this day.  This will be our CASA (Community After School Activity)
