Integrating and Embedding Wellness Into YOUR Life

As we continue to move through the Institute of Positive Education four phases of wellness implementation (i.e., learn, live, teach and embed), this blog has recently offered a few hopefully helpful “teach it” strategies as well as some constructs for the embedding phase. Stepping back from this focus on our students and our implementation process, where are you in your personal wellness implementation process? 🙂

Are you finding ways to integrate and further embed aspects of wellness into your life? One method that was presented here for students is to have them use a wellness designed personal planner. Applying this method to your life, what do think about using a wellness-oriented planner in your life?

I am not finding any offerings online for such planners but maybe one of the two student-oriented wellness planner providers have ones for senior students that might do the trick for adults to adapt for their use. Otherwise, you can review the online offerings from companies such as Uncalendar to adapt their goal-setting, task organizing, etc. approach to insert the tenets of Positive Psychology into their pages. And of course, don’t forget to include the Character Strengths as part of your design work.

Also, don’t forget about the strategy of creating a personal wellness plan as one more option to embed wellness into your life!
