Looking ahead to the Year of the Dragon

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I hope you had an enjoyable and restful Tet holiday and are stepping into the Year of the Dragon full of hope and optimism!

Traditionally, the Dragon symbolizes wisdom, power, and boundless courage and mirrors the bold spirit we’re channeling this year at SSIS, especially as we unveil our two magnificent new buildings. These aren’t just building structures; they’re beacons of our collective ambition and dedication to providing unparalleled educational experiences for our students. What a memorable time to be part of our thriving community! I hope this good fortune is equally reflected in your home and family lives this year.

We have an exciting few months ahead. Our plans for moving students into the new buildings on April 9 are on track. We will use the newly announced April 8 PD day to plan and prepare for the best possible experience on opening day. Stay tuned for more details over the coming weeks.

Representing SSIS at the AAIE conference was an honor, and it filled me with pride to share our community’s exceptional journey. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the school and our students. I look forward to catching up with you tomorrow and hearing about your holiday experiences.

In the meantime, have an enjoyable rest of your Sunday.

All good wishes,

Catriona
